We are a group of master makers based in Dorset, England. We collaborate with world-class designers to reimagine the familiar and create items of exceptional modern craftsmanship.
We believe that as the old ways disappear, our longing for connection and human touch does not.
Each collaboration is a container that brings together skills honed over generations with modern tools and fresh dreams.

A collaboration with legendary rug designer Luke Irwin launching on 6th November 2018. The Seat of Power is a conversation piece designed to start a dialogue and initiate discussion or commentary on the changing nature of power. The initial design incorporates the Doves and Stripes rug designed by Luke Irwin and given to President Obama for his inauguration as a gift from the Irish nation. Here the same design a mere 10 years on takes on another incarnation as seen through the lens of the Trump presidency.
This first piece sets up a dialogue about political power and is first in a limited series of chairs examining different areas of power.
The second chair, The Seat of Power Media, sets up a conversation about the changing power of the press and the emergence of fake news.
The place we endeavour to remake our world from is Dorset, a land charged with myth and legend, and a deep tradition of craft.
Our workshop has large windows and views of green hills because master craftspeople in particular make their best work when they’re happy.
But our friendships extend far beyond those hills, sparking conversations about original ways of living well everywhere.
We are frequently asked to make models of private residences and iconic business premises. Sadly, we cannot share our many private commissions. However, we can share some projects for iconic brands.
All our architectural boxes are wonderfully useful, hiding within their walls humidors, writing boxes, or jewellery boxes.
We are immensely privileged to work in the midst of rolling Dorset hills. Of course there are grey days, but be it a bright autumnal sun flooding in through the workshop doors, the drama of a stormy winter evening or an exceptional spring dawn chorus, it’s never dull…
As the passion for collecting rare and fine watches has grown, so has the desire for exquisitely crafted watch winders as evidenced by our work for legendary brands including Vacheron Constantin and Panerai.
We have created standalone single and multiple winders, and watch winder inserts for safes for private clients and interior designers, and specifiers using materials as diverse as the book matched veneers and carbon fibre.
Our winder cases use the finest Swiss made winder mechanisms which can be programmed for specific watches.
Since our founding, bespoke commissions for private clients have been an integral part of who we are and what we do. As with all our work, our bespoke commissions are wonderfully varied; from small gifts for loved ones or colleagues, to substantial pieces imagined to tell a story or simply inspire delight.
What we can create is limited in form, function and materiality only by the imagination of our clients and ourselves; and we are famously imaginative…
